Bike friendly accommodation in East Devon
As bike owners we know first hand the worry that can be associated with travelling with bikes. Will there be somewhere safe and away from view to lock up your pride and joy? Do they have somewhere you can wash it after a muddy ride? Will you be able to wash your kit, and will it dry overnight. These are the questions we ask local hotels and cottage providers, so you can book with confidence. Having said that, it's still worth telling them that you're bringing bikes when you book. And do mention that you heard about them from us too.
Mazzard Farm
We are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Mazzard Farm for our bike weekends. They are happy to welcome cyclists of all type to their award-winning, cluster of six luxury cottages just above the market town of Ottery St. Mary in East Devon, and five miles from the Jurassic Coast at Sidmouth.
Surrounded by 17 acres of their own woodland, orchard, gardens and play areas, Mazzard Farm is a haven of peace and tranquillity, where you can relax and unwind. It's also got great riding, both on and off road, straight from the gate.
The Pig at Combe
The Pig at Combe combines luxury (it's a magnificent stately home) with comfort and informality. It is grand, but also very friendly and accessible. There is a bike shed, with bikes to borrow. But there's also room in the boiler shed for bikes that need to be under lock and key. Much of the food is grown on site, and what isn't comes from a 25 mile radius. More importantly, it's also delicious. If you want to really treat yourself, this is a great place to do so! It's just 1.5 miles from Honiton.
More accommodation will be added to this page as I find out what their attitude to bikes is...
